The Danteum is an unbuilt monument proposed by the modernist architect and scholar of Dante, Giuseppe Terragni. Although conceived as an allegory of the Divina Commedia, Terragni focuses on the form of the text and rhyme of its structure, translating them into carefully proportioned spaces and unadorned surfaces, typical of the Italian Rationalism.
