Lithos Design, A journey in a box

For Lithos Design, the sample box project was developed with the aim of presenting and enhancing Marble in Circle, an innovative system that transforms the sample box into a sustainable, shared, and circular tool.

Starting from the company’s brief, the studio designed a video tool capable of clearly and evocatively explaining how the sample box works, addressing clients, architects, and interior designers. The video, presented during Paris Deco Off and now featured in a dedicated section of the Lithos Design website, guides users through the virtuous cycle of marble, highlighting its value, durability, and potential for reuse.

The design contribution was not limited to the video: the studio also redesigned the sample box itself, evolving the existing model to make it flexible and adaptable to different configurations, in order to accommodate the three sizes of Lithos samples. The result is an object that is both functional and narrative, conceived to support and facilitate the circulation of materials.

At the same time, the entire graphic identity of the box was developed as a visual extension of the brand’s values, with a design language that reflects the concept of circularity.

“Marble in Circle” thus becomes more than a simple sampling system: it is an ecosystem that promotes a conscious use of marble, reduces waste, and encourages professionals to actively participate in a reuse process. Each sample becomes part of a potentially endless journey, where design, material, and environmental responsibility intersect.
