Sintesi – Gresmalt Group, Cersaie 2026

Red Place is an essential urban form, almost outside of time, where volumes and colour define a distinctive and recognisable landscape.

The project draws on the legacy of Aldo Rossi and his idea of an architecture capable of inhabiting memory through archetypal forms. The house, in its most elemental expression, thus becomes a universal sign: a presence that is both familiar and abstract, capable of evoking the very idea of dwelling.

Seven volumes come together to form a contemporary kind of agora. The Greenhouse, the Refuge, the Theatre, the Library, the Residence, the Baths, and the Spring: archetypes of an imaginary village, each housing a different collection, arranged in a sequence of shades of red.

Colour blocking becomes a perceptual tool: not merely a surface, but an element capable of unifying, guiding, and enhancing the products it contains. Outside, an almost metaphysical landscape enters into dialogue with the rigorous geometry of the volumes.

Red Place is a place to be: a place to move through, inhabit, and remember. A deliberately timeless architecture, where display becomes landscape and the product finds its natural context: a collective, contemplative space open to encounter, where Sintesi does not simply present its collections, but creates a place to recognise as one’s own.

The project was awarded the ADI Exhibit Design Award at Cersaie 2026, recognising its distinctive approach to exhibition design and its ability to transform product display into an immersive architectural experience.
